Who We Are
Patrol
Lt. Jerome Robinson is in charge of the Patrol Division. He has 14 officers under him. They are certified at the Rappahannock Regional Satellite Academy in Middletown, Va. Each officer goes to an 18 week school and then must FTO for another 12 weeks. The officers are responsible for traffic control, answering complaints, making arrests, investigating minor offenses and patrolling the town 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are adding up to six reserve officers to help with manpower and reducing expenses. We are in the process of training a Special Operations Unit (Tactical Team). That unit should be fully operational in the near future.
Investigation
Captain Carroll Wilkins is in charge of Investigations with Investigators Larry Crum and Bill Baitinger; they have combined 70 years of law enforcement experience. We have already had great success with this unit and will continue to improve. Inv. Crum has been accepted to attend the Virginia Forensic Lab Academy this year.
